Weekend Whirlwind II

I'm still learning how to use this blog site -- it wouldn't let me download all the pics I wanted to at once -- so I'm continuing onto this page. ANYWAY -- Darby Kate got to test out Babe's new swing! She had so much fun swingin' and snackin! We finished the day with a little dip in her new pool. I'm tellin' ya -- those things never do what they do on the box! Oh well, she seemed to have a fun time!

Weekend Whirlwind!!

Well, this weekend was fast and furious as usual! It's amazing how fast they go by -- there are never enough hours in the day!! We worked in the garden some on Friday -- so far, things are looking pretty good. We are hoping to harvest a good crop!! (from our tiny 3-rows):)

We headed to Arkadoo on Friday -- we celebrated BeBe's birthday. Darby Kate always has a great time playing with her cousins!

Saturday morning we ran the Brickfest 5k (and yes, I did say "we"). Trev's competitive spirit keeps him going -- and, that's with very little training! Back to Hope we went -- Darby Kate went to a birthday party and had fun sliding on the big blow-up slide. After that, we traveled to Texarkana for some marathon shopping. Whew! What a day!!

Darb's wanted to give a shout out to BeBe on her BIRTHDAY!! Happy B-day BeBe!! We hope you had a great day! Sorry about the older pic of you and Darbs -- unfortunately, I could not find any that were newer! We are going to have to do something about that!

Okay -- I know I'm going a little overboard (blogging daily), but I'm sure there will be times when I go a week, or two, or three, with little or no action. Anyway -- last night Darbs and I accompanied Trev over to his parent's neighborhood so that he could do his running (yes -- he's training for a TRIATHLON!). When Poppy C came home from work, Darby Kate couldn't get enough of him! I thought these pictures were sweet. I'm glad she is doing much better with going to others and wanting to be held, etc.

Flowerbed Photo Session

We had a little photo session in the flowerbed yesterday -- I could only get the good smiles when passersby came through. Daddy helped, too, when he got home. He can always act crazy and get good smiles from Darby Kate.

Miss Muffin said Darbs took a couple of steps again, yesterday. I've witnessed it once, and Trev's witnessed it a couple of times. I think she's going to take off any day!

Okay -- I'm going to give this a shot! I'm not the most organized person in the world, but I'm hoping this will commit me to keeping up with D's pics and activities a little better. I can't believe her first birthday is just around the corner. I'm obsessing a little too much about it. Hopefully, she won't mind! That's what I need to be working on right now by the way. Here are a few pics from this past weekend...

D wasn't too interested in watching Daddy play golf. She wanted to pull everything out of the bag that I brought to keep her occupied and "quiet" !

It was definitely an adventure driving the cart while holding Miss Busy Body. I think when people saw us coming, they knew to steer clear!

D participated in her first race this weekend. I was so proud of her AND the Hubs!
